我也是一样的情况，重装了没用

最后解决是vim /var/log/mysql.log查看日志

复制里面【error】的部分在百度里搜索

我的百度出来解决方案是直接运行

mysql_install_db

就解决的

1. 卸载之前安装的mysql  yum remove mysql mysql-server mysql-libs compat-mysql51

2. yum install -y mysql-server mysql mysql-deve 重新安装mysql

3. 对比老师视频里面安装语句  sudo yum -y install mysql-server 进行安装之后一直启动失败，提示

   This probably means that your libc libraries are not 100 % compatible
   with this binary MySQL version. The MySQL daemon, mysqld, should work
   normally with the exception that host name resolving will not work.
   This means that you should use IP addresses instead of hostnames
   when specifying MySQL privileges !
   Installing MySQL system tables...
   170903 21:18:23 [Warning] '--default-character-set' is deprecated and will be removed in a future release. Please use '--character-set-server' instead.
   
   Installation of system tables failed!  Examine the logs in
   /var/lib/mysql for more information.
   
   You can try to start the mysqld daemon with:

   and use the command line tool /usr/bin/mysql
   to connect to the mysql database and look at the grant tables:
   
       shell> /usr/bin/mysql -u root mysql

   后来重新用 yum install -y mysql-server mysql mysql-deve 重新安装mysql之后mysql启动成功，是否是因为系统不同造成这个问题，老师是mac，本人用win10虚拟机安装centos 6.8。
